FBI investigators have discovered a possible illegal biological lab in a Las Vegas home, sending over 1,000 samples for testing after finding potential hazardous materials in a locked garage.
The property owner, a Chinese national arrested in 2023 for a similar Reedley, California lab containing pathogens like HIV, Ebola, and COVID-19, remains in custody and has pleaded not guilty.
The Reedley operation allegedly received funds from Chinese banks, prompting a congressional probe.

So it turns out the mysterious biolab just raided in Vegas is linked to the secret Chinese lab in California back in 2022.
The lab in Vegas was operated by the same LLC and same Chinese nationals as the one in California.
These secret labs are not an isolated incident.

House Intel Chairman Rick Crawford warned the Chinese-linked biolabs may be an attempt to create a "patient zero" scenario to seed the next pandemic. The Las Vegas lab was located in an Airbnb vacation rental near a high-value military installation.
Crawford questioned why labs would be set up "in such a slipshod way" unless deliberately trying to attract attention or "send a message." He stressed the Chinese have exploited U.S. immigration systems "for decades," with family members maintaining CCP ties, buying land near strategic assets, and gaining access as citizens.
Crawford criticized universities for prioritizing revenue over security by admitting Chinese students into hard-tech programs—engineering, physics, biochemistry—not arts. "Their stated goal is to displace the United States as the preeminent economy, the preeminent military, the preeminent political leader globally."
