Steve Bannon Warns ‘Dark Winter’ Is Coming

Prophetic Steve Bannon has been preparing his audience for the economic downfall of the United States due to the power-grabbing and destructive policies of the administrative state for a very long time, and all evidence is that Bannon knows what he is talking about.

This week with the assault on the American taxpayer by an out-of-control elite political mob, who has raped the American tax base with greedy and self-serving funding of nonsense, is a great time to reflect on the predictions of Bannon- the host of the influential War Room program. Bannon has warned his audience that all signs point to a terrible winter for the American people.

Back in October, Bannon warned listeners to get ready for a bleak Christmas season; citing an October article in the Economist about a ‘Shortage economy,’ Bannon said it was all the proof he needed to get ready for problems.

“Shortage economy” is a term coined by Hungarian economist János Kornai, who used this term to criticize the old centrally-planned economies of the communist states of the Eastern Bloc.

The Economist reported then:

For a decade after the financial crisis, the world economy’s problem was a lack of spending. Worried households paid down their debts; governments imposed austerity and wary firms held back investment, especially in physical capacity, while hiring from a seemingly infinite pool of workers.

Now spending has come roaring back, as governments have stimulated the economy and consumers let rip. The surge in demand is so powerful that supply is struggling to keep up. Lorry drivers are getting signing bonuses, an armada of container ships is anchored off California waiting for ports to clear and energy prices are spiralling upwards. As rising inflation spooks investors, the gluts of the 2010s have given way to a shortage economy.

The immediate cause is covid-19. Some $10.4trn of global stimulus has unleashed a furious but lopsided rebound in which consumers are spending more on goods than normal, stretching global supply chains that have been starved of investment. Demand for electronic goods has boomed during the pandemic but a shortage of the microchips inside them has struck industrial production in some exporting economies, such as Taiwan.

The spread of the Delta variant has shut down clothing factories in parts of Asia. In the rich world migration is down, stimulus has filled bank accounts and not enough workers fancy shifting from out-of-favor jobs like selling sandwiches in cities to in-demand ones such as warehousing. From Brooklyn to Brisbane, employers are in a mad scramble for extra hands.

And think about the spending gift our civil servants gave themselves this week, Bannon was right and the people are not happy about it- but who can stop them?:

Should Congress approve the $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill?

The Oct. War Room broadcast was highlighted by the Gateway Pundit, showing Bannon talking about economics and preparing people, telling them that it’s time to get ready for hard times.

Martin Walsh also covered Bannon’s comments for Conservative Brief reporting:

“During a segment on his “War Room Podcast,” Bannon warned that The Economist ran a report with the headline: “The Shortage Economy.”

Bannon called it a “tip sheet” for the elites and warned that America should take it seriously. He suggests that if even mainstream sources like the Economist are predicting doom, then it’s time for the American people to prepare and get ready,” adding:

“The revered Economist, what is their headline? The Shortage Economy. America needs to prepare… Get ready for the bleakest, darkest Christmas in living memory… This is far beyond stagflation. We’re entering into another faze. It’s all the converging forces. Remember, elections have consequences, illegal elections have catastrophic consequences,” Bannon said.

”This is why we’re in dangerous territory right now. Biden’s fiscal and monetary stimulus is the most reckless thing in American history. And you know who’s going to pay for that, the workers… I’m gonna tell you, This Christmas, it’s going to hit and it’s going to hit like nobody’s business. And nobody else in all media is going to tell you this,” he added.

Walsh went on to report:

Earlier this month, a poll found 44% of Democrats want another person to run in 2024 beside President Joe Biden.

A separate poll recently found that only four in ten Democrats want Biden to run again in 2024.
Breitbart provided a breakdown of the findings:

The survey simply asked respondents, “Do you want Joe Biden to run for president again in 2024?”

Overall, just 22 percent of Americans said they want Biden to run again in 2024, while most, 54 percent, do not. Another 24 percent remain unsure. However, while one would assume Biden would see majority support from his Democrat base, that is not the case, as just 39 percent of Democrats desire to see Biden to run in the next presidential election. That figure is even lower among independents — 13 percent.

Perhaps what is worse for Biden, just 34 percent of those who voted for him in the 2020 election want him to run again. The survey also found Biden’s favorably rating under water, as 43 percent view him favorably, compared to 50 percent who do not. His job approval is even worse. Most, 51 percent, disapprove of his job as president, compared to 42 percent who approve of it.

While a majority, overall, indicate they do not want former President Donald Trump to run again, per the poll, unlike Biden, Trump enjoys majority support from his base, as 54 percent of Republicans want him to run for president again in 2024. Further, a majority of those who voted for Trump in 2020 want him to run again as well.

A national Marquette Law School poll released in September found similar results, with almost three in four Americans (72%) saying that they do not want Biden to run again in 2024.
