House Oversight Chairman James Comer subpoenaed billionaire Leon Black in the middle of Friday's closed-door Epstein hearing.
Black, the Apollo Global co-founder who paid Jeffrey Epstein $158 million, refused to answer questions about the NDAs he signed with women. Comer hit him with two subpoenas on the spot: one for every NDA, one compelling him back for a deposition on July 16.
Sen. Wyden alleges Epstein acted as a middleman to pay women on Black's behalf. Black has settled with the Virgin Islands, watched Bank of America settle to keep him off the stand, and avoided testifying under oath for years.
