Ngo pointed out that Antifa is rattled by the strong pushback against educators and others who openly supported the recent high-profile assassination. In Texas, nearly 300 teachers face investigations for their inflammatory statements, reflecting widespread public disapproval. This backlash has surprised Antifa, as it signals a rejection of their ideology and limits their ability to act without scrutiny.

Ngo stressed that the current environment has moved past “cancel culture” into what he calls an “assassination culture.” He cautioned that Antifa’s tactics, including celebrating violence and trying to sow division, are backfiring as conservatives rally together. The Oregon report shows their anxiety about this shift, as they struggle to counter the unifying effect of their actions on the right.
