Hundreds of protesters gathered outside the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Southwest Portland on Monday for a heated anti-ICE Labor Day demonstration. Black clad Antifa militants rolled out a guillotine and torched an American flag, escalating tensions as agitators chanted, "We got the guillotine!"

ICE and Federal Protective Service (FPS) officers, tasked with securing the facility, issued repeated orders for the crowd to vacate restricted areas around the federal building. A loudspeaker announcement warned, "Everyone must leave this restricted area, or may be subject to detention, arrest, or exposure to chemical munitions for failure to depart the restricted area."

When the crowd, many equipped with riot gear and makeshift shields, failed to disperse, federal officers deployed chemical munitions such as pepper balls, smoke grenades, and CS gas to clear the area.

Video footage captured by The Post Millennial shows protesters dodging munitions with makeshift shields, while others retreated as the air filled with green, red, and white smoke.

Despite the intense confrontations, no arrests were made.

Protesters first gathered at Elizabeth Caruthers Park at 5:30 pm for a rally before marching to the ICE facility located just a few blocks away. After arriving at the ICE facility around 6:30 pm, demonstrators waited for hours to provoke a response from federal police officers. Federal authorities gave their initial announcement to vacate the area around 10 pm and moved to disperse the crowd 25 minutes later.

Monday night's demonstration marked Day 86 of the anti-ICE Antifa occupation of the area around the facility, which began on June 7. The site has been a focal point for activists, with previous protests involving arson attacks, assaults on federal officers with deadly weapons, vandalism, and other unlawful acts. More than 20 individuals have been federally charged with a variety of criminal offenses.

Portland Police officers have also arrested more than 20 protesters for offenses committed on public property during anti-ICE demonstrations. However, Portland Police stopped responding to the area over a month ago.

DHS officials have accused individuals involved in the occupation of illegal doxxing of federal law enforcement officers, further escalating the threat level.

Tom Homan, President Trump's Border Czar, told reporters last week that ICE operations would "ramp up" in specific sanctuary cities after Labor Day, including Portland, Oregon, and Seattle, Washington.

Portland Mayor Keith Wilson is reaffirming his city’s commitment to sanctuary policies in the wake of another night of violence outside a local U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility.

Wilson, a Democrat, vowed that local police would not aid ICE and said he’s working with Portland police to determine a response to the violent Labor Day clashes outside the South Macadam Avenue facility, the latest in a series of ugly incidents at the site over the last few months as agitators push back against federal immigration enforcement.

Anti-ICE protesters were captured on video rolling out a guillotine and clashing with police before law enforcement fired munitions to disperse the crowd.
