Attorney General Pam Bondi has announced the immediate removal of the First Assistant United States Attorney in New Jersey—the individual installed by “politically minded judges” as a replacement for Alina Habba—while blasting those judges for interfering in the department’s leadership and eroding presidential authority.

In a pointed statement, Bondi commended Habba for her outstanding work in restoring safety to the state, but criticized judges for blocking her continuation in the role and imposing the First Assistant instead.

“As a result, the First Assistant United States Attorney in New Jersey has just been removed,” Bondi declared.

She underscored the DOJ’s firm stance: “This Department of Justice does not tolerate rogue judges — especially when they threaten the President’s core Article II powers.”
