Russia's Lavrov says the Kremlin is "ready to reach a deal" on Ukraine

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Thursday concurred with President Trump's assertion that talks to end the war with Ukraine were "moving in the right direction," according to an excerpt from an interview with CBS News.

During his CBS "Face the Nation" interview that airs in full Sunday, Lavrov noted Trump had mentioned a deal, "and we are ready to reach a deal."

But, he added, "there are still some specific points, elements of this deal which need to be fine-tuned, and we are busy with this exact process."
