On March 10, 2025, Texas attorney Ty Clevenger shared new developments in his ongoing legal efforts to obtain documents related to Seth Rich from the FBI.
The government recently released a list of withheld records, claiming that the 2016 case remains an active law enforcement investigation. Many files are being withheld under Exemption 7(A), suggesting their release could disrupt ongoing probes, though the FBI has not clarified which investigation is involved.
This comes despite the agency’s repeated stance that it was not involved in investigating Rich’s murder, a claim contradicted by its admission in 2020 of possessing thousands of related documents, including his laptop.
The latest responses, posted online by Clevenger, highlight continued resistance from the FBI to fully disclose the materials.
