NASA Merges Divisions in Major Reorganization

NASA announced Friday (https://www.nasa.gov/news-release/nasa- ... -delivery/) a sweeping restructuring aimed at accelerating U.S. space exploration goals under President Donald Trump's space policy, including efforts to return astronauts to the moon, establish a lunar base, and develop nuclear-powered space technology.

The realignment, unveiled by NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman, is intended to sharpen the agency's mission focus while streamlining management and reducing bureaucracy, according to a NASA press release.

"These changes position the agency to better deliver on the nation's highest-priority objectives with speed and efficiency," NASA said.

The overhaul follows discussions at NASA's "Ignition" event in March, where agency leaders outlined priorities tied to Trump's executive order "Ensuring American Space Superiority."
