CAMERAS ALLOWED —A Utah judge has denied the defense's motion to ban cameras from the Charlie Kirk assassination trial and pushed the preliminary hearing back to July 6-10, rejecting the requested six-month delay.

The defense had argued that 99% of Utah County residents were aware of the case and 64% believed Tyler Robinson was guilty based on media coverage, but the court found that insufficient to justify a camera ban.

Former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani told Fox News the defense's motions appear to be a strategic long game — creating a paper trail of denied motions that could be used to challenge a potential death sentence on appeal.

Prosecutors have submitted over 600,000 discovery files, and a defense forensic biologist said she needs six months to review the evidence.
