Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, led by Ranking Member Rep. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.), have requested voluntary transcribed interviews with three private investigators — Paul Lavery, Stephen Kiraly, and William Riley — who worked for Jeffrey Epstein.

A 2005 memo confirms that Lavery visited Epstein's Palm Beach mansion less than two weeks before police raided it in October 2005, removing over 100 pieces of potential evidence: three computers, 29 bound telephone directories, a masseuse listing, and sexually explicit materials. When police arrived, the computers were conspicuously absent — including one tied to Epstein's surveillance system. The materials were placed in private storage and never turned over to law enforcement or the DOJ.

Epstein's longtime attorney Darren Indyke confirmed to the committee that hard drives remained in the investigators' possession after Epstein's conviction. Billing records show the firm charged Epstein's team for that storage facility for years.

Responses are due April 9. Non-cooperation could trigger subpoenas under Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), as part of the committee's ongoing investigation into the Epstein case and his 2008 plea deal.
