DOZENS of files detailing Ghislaine Maxwell’s personal affairs, including her alleged links to the Clintons could be made public, a judge has ruled.

The socialite’s lawyers claimed the documents would “implicate her right to a fair trial in her pending criminal case” which is due to start in November.

Judge Loretta Preska was unconvinced by their argument, Mail Online reports.

The documents are part of the material from the defamation case Virginia Roberts Giuffre filed against the British socialite in 2016.

Her lawyers requested the socialite’s tax returns and balance sheets for firms she controlled and was associated with.

Putting an emphasis on transparency, the US District Judge ruled that the vast majority of the documents constituted as "judicial documents".

It's not known if the Clintons will feature in the documents and the contents of the files also remain unknown.

The papers will also redact the names of people who are not involved in the civil case.

Giuffre alleged Maxwell procured her as a teenage sex slave for Jeffrey Epstein. She claims Prince Andrew slept with her three times. The royal has vehemently denied the accusations against him.

It's reported that a protective order filed by Maxwell's legal team that intended to limit the amount of financial information they had to disclose will also be released.

But, Maxwell and Epstein were VIP guests of the former president in 1993.

Last month, Maxwell was denied bail for a fifth time as a New York judge determined she still poses a “flight risk”.

The socialite faces up to 80 years in prison if convicted over her alleged role in procuring four underage girls for disgraced financier Epstein to sexually abuse between 1994 and 2004.

Maxwell has pleaded not guilty to sex trafficking and other charges.

Her lawyers claim that she has been mistreated at a federal jail in Brooklyn but prosecutors dispute these allegations.

Lawyer David Markus claimed: “Ghislaine Maxwell is subjected to more grueling conditions than any other inmate.

"This is due to the Epstein effect. Because Epstein died on the jail's watch, it has decided to torture Ghislaine. That's wrong."

Epstein killed himself in a Manhattan jail in August 2019 while he awaited a sex trafficking trial.
